Golden Globe nomination surprises Alanis

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Alanis Morissette says her first reaction when the calls began pouring into her home was "something must be wrong, somebody must be hurt."

It turned out things couldn't be more right: People were calling Tuesday morning to congratulate her on her first Golden Globe nomination, for best original motion picture song. "I didn't even find out until about 45 minutes ago," a giddy Morissette said in an interview shortly after the awards were announced.

"I'm really excited. This song really touches me deeply, and so I'm excited that some light is being shown on it."

She was nominated for the song "Wunderkind" from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

"I wrote the song on Friday and recorded it on Saturday and pretty much handed it in the next day," the Canadian singer said, noting the song seemed to flow from her once she saw a rough cut of the film.

She refused to speculate on her chances of winning, adding, "I saw the names of the other people in the category and they rock."

But Morissette, who was preparing to leave for concerts in Baltimore and Chicago this week, said she won't miss the awards ceremony on Jan. 16.

"Any chance to clean up, I'm there," laughed Morissette who burst into the public's consciousness in 1995 with the album Jagged Little Pill.

"I like getting cleaned up lately, and that wasn't always the case," she said.

Crazy being played in Metro Manila

I received a message from my friend Christian today, informing me that "Crazy" is being played in most of the radio stations in Metro Manila, such as: jam 88.3, Rx 93.1, 99.5 RT, and of course, 103.5 K-Lite.

Thanks Christian! ;)
