On the release date of JLPA, I discovered that the copies I bought from two different record bars here in Manila is NOT enhanced, even though the inside and outside cover have "enhanced" written on it. So I called up Warner Music Phillippines to report the problem, and after waiting and not hearing back from them (though they said they'll get back to me), I called and ask them again.
At first, it was impossible for me to get through to the person who I'm speaking with, so I gave up and instead I asked to be connected to anybody, so I got someone from the Sales department, and what she said was, unapologetically:
"
Please go back to the shop where you bought your copy and get them to replace it."
I was unhappy about this, so I contacted another person, who I've also spoken with, through text message (sms).
She called me back and said:
"
Could you please bring your copy to our office on Friday, and we'll have it replace."
Gosh, I can't believe these type of people are actually entitled to do the job they're doing, if an easy situation like this can't even be manage properly.
Here are 3 things that annoyed me about this issue:
1.) How did it happened, that they released a supposed to be "enhanced" cd, without checking if it's really enhanced - and a customer actually end up finding out that it isn't. Boy, someone's not doing their job properly if this is the case.
2.) No shame or apology to what happened. I mean it's not that complicated to say "sorry we made a mistake!".
3.) No Integrity - If they say they will get back to someone regarding an issue like this, then they should, and not have the person to call back again and find out what's going on.
I know these are not personal, but if they want to be effective in what they're doing, then they at least need to "check on" and/or "step back" and re-examine what their actions are.
Anyway, I'll see what they have to say, when I come their office this Friday.
And to all of my fellow appreciators who bought the cd(s) that is NOT enhanced, please call Warner Music at 687 5211, to get a guarantee that you will be able to replace it from the shop where you bought your copy, cos as we all know some record stores have policy in exchanging cds, and you don't want to go through any hassle.
